7pm Lutheran Church, Larkham Lane – Story, in words and music, of the Reformation and Dissolution of the Monasteries (Plympton Priory in particular) by Sylvia Guthrig – booking essential.

2pm - 7pm Freemasons' Hall, 161 Ridgeway PL7 2JH. The home of Plympton Freemasonry. Help us celebrate 300 years of English Freemasonry. View the Refectory and Masonic Temple. Refreshments - No charge

7pm for 7:30pm Freemason's Hall, 161 Ridgeway PL7 2JH Talk by Barbie Thompson, “Intrigue & Collusion at POW Depots, Dockyards & High Places” . Although these tales unfold beyond Plymouth they embrace or impact on Plymouth and Devonport, spanning the late 17th and early 19th centuries - No charge

Friday May 12th

2pm for 2:30pm Harewood House, Ridgeway PL7 2AS Talk by Ursula Myers on "Membland" Charting the rise & fall of the Membland estate, owned by Edward Baring (Lord Revelstoke) of Barings Bank in the 2nd half of the 19th Century, including a look at the remaining estate buildings. No charge.

Saturday May 13th

10am –4pm Exhibition of Plympton's History at St Mary's Church Hall, Market Hall, Plympton PL7 1QW – No charge

10am - 4pm Royalty in Residence - at Plympton Priory Site, off Market Road behind St Mary's Church PL7 1QW. Early May in the year 1357, Edward known to history as the "Black Prince" landed at Plymouth with his most valuable prize following the Battle of Poitiers, the King of France. They stayed at Plympton Priory to recover from the sea crossing and to give London time to prepare for its Royal "Guest". 660 Years later join the Age of Chivalry as we celebrate our proud local history with knights in armour, ladies of court, medieval dancing, historic talks throughout the day which will end with a tournament between England and France. No charge

Saturday 13th May

7pm Concert at St Mary's Church, Plympton PL7 1QW. Featuring Mock Hobby Horse , Russell Harris and Nicholas Millington, who specialise in early music on a wide variety of traditional/acoustic instruments, "beautiful, haunting, timeless melodies". www.mockhobbyhorse.co.uk. Along with Mick Bramich, a knowledgeable and entertaining local folk musician. Mick plays traditional music and songs of the 19th and 20th centuries including some from the Sabine Baring Gould collection. £5 per person, payable on the door

10am –4pm Exhibition of Plympton's History at St Mary's Church Hall, Market Hall, Plympton PL7 1QW– No charge
