Plympton St Maurice Judo Club is a self defence club with opportunities for all ages and abilities to learn an enjoyable martial art.

Plympton St Maurice Judo Club is an established club that has been running for many years in the Guildhall; offering sessions for primaries, juniors and seniors to have instruction from Andy Cooper, our senior 5th Dan instructor with many years experience of coaching and competing.

Our club aims to develop your Judo skills alongside building self confidence and implementing etiquette throughout. All activities undertaken are supervised by qualified coaches and adapted to the people on the mat.

The club is open to everyone, providing the chance to meet new people, while developing your technique and knowledge of the sport, including technical terms. There are opportunities to attend friendly, national and international competitions as well as residential courses and gradings.

Our Sessions:

Monday: 18:00-19:30 Primaries (age 5-10)

Wednesday: 19:00-20:30 Juniors (age10-16)

Wednesday: 20:30-22:00 Seniors (age 16+)

Kata sessions on arrangement

Come along to a session; just turn up on the day and you can decide if you want to join in or sit back and watch to see for yourself how much fun Judo is. Please like and share this page to friends and family. Anyone from the age of 5 onwards should come along and give it a go.

All our coaches are volunteers. We don't get paid for what we do, we do it for the enjoyment of our sport. This means that if any profits are made, they are put back into the club for the students' education and advancements in Judo.
