The Pop Up Picture House is an informal cinema in the heart of our community, popping up in the Plympton St Maurice Guildhall on the first Friday of every month.

We try to screen as broad a range of films as possible. That said, we still love a good blockbuster and appreciate for some in the community we're the only cinema they can get to.

Tickets are just £5 per person, available on the door from 7pm for the 7.30pm screening. A range of refreshments will be available for purchase.

The films are shown in Ultra HD with an amazing sound system, thanks to our grant from the British Film Institute's Neighbourhood Cinema scheme.

Our Facebook page, facebook.com/picturehousepsm is the best place to find out what's coming up, a feed from which is shown to the right.

Entirely run by volunteers, we’re raising funds for the Friends of the Guildhall (FROG). It’s YOUR cinema, so do get in touch through Facebook to suggest films to screen or to get involved.

Blast from the past - our  previous screenings

We've been screening movies in Plympton St Maurice since June 2015. Here we archive all the posters for the films we've screened in that time- how many did you come along to?

With thanks to...

The local businesses who support us, from providing free popcorn for us to sell and sponsoring other refreshments. Thanks guys - we salute you!
