Plympton St Maurice is a small village located on the outskirts of Plymouth in South Devon. An ancient borough and stannary town with a history dating back to 1155, today its historical significance is recognised by its status as a conservation area to protect and enhance the beautiful old buildings. We have an idylic location, with the maritime city of Plymouth to the west, rugged Dartmoor to the north, the South Hams to the east and the beautiful coastline to the south.

 

We have an active local community, a thriving church, a 'Good' rated primary school, three great pubs and a lovely boutique hotel with restaurant. We're lucky enough to have plenty of public green space with the castle green next to the ruins of our castle as well as the pathfields area and fields to the south of the village.
